15 Toledo cattle farmers receive Molasses and Urea Block Technical Training from Ministry of Agriculture

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise (MAFSE) conducted a Molasses and Urea Block Technical Training for 15 Toledo cattle farmers on Thursday, February 9, 2023.

“The training covered topics on the importance of molasses urea blocks (MUB’s) and its benefits,” MAFSE said. “Molasses and Urea Block (MUB) has been very efficient to maintain the availability of feed for animals, production and reproduction in the dry season.”

MAFSE said the training was conducted at Oscar Zuniga’s Farm in Trio Village, Toledo District, by Ministry of Agriculture Livestock Officer Justaquio Tush and Extension Officer Andre Logan.

MAFSE said the 15 participants included personnel from the Belize Livestock Producers’ Association, and Reimer’s Feed Mill – PG Branch Manager Elio Rash.

The Agriculture Ministry said similar training workshops will be held for other zones throughout the Toledo district in the upcoming months.
