By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Wednesday, Mexican airline Aeromar announced it was closing down due to financial issues, after struggling to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic downturn, the Associated Press reports.
The airline operated 21 routes in Mexico and was well known for flying routes between Mexico City and beach resorts.
The company said that it had not been able to recover from the financial difficulties.
In addition, Mexico City international airport noted that the airline owed some $27.5 million in fees, services and other debts.
