Tracy Taeger Panton and women Parliament members in Jamaica discuss support for women in politics

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Area Representative for Albert, Tracy Taeger Panton is in Jamaica meeting with women leaders and discussing support for women in politics in the region.

“A great privilege and distinct honor to spend some QT with my Esteemed Colleagues in Jamaica as we discussed the critical issues of the need to support more women in politics and the future of women’s political leadership in the Caribbean,” Panton said.

Panton met with Juliet Holness, wife of Jamaican Prime Minister, Andrew Holness and Member of Parliament.

Panton also met with women leaders and members of parliament, Olivia Grange, Krystal Kerry Ann Lee, Michelle Charles, Tamika Davis and Juliet Cuthbert Flynn.

In 2022, Panton became the first woman to contest the leadership of a mass political party in the history of Belizean politics.
