Kirk Pitts pleads guilty to possession of crack cocaine and pipe

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belize City man was convicted in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court this week for two drug-related offenses.

Forty-six-year-old Kirk Pitts appeared unrepresented in court facing one count of possession of a controlled drug with respect to 1 gram of crack cocaine, and one count of possession of utensils used for the purpose of smoking drugs.

Pitts pleaded guilty to the offense and was fined $200 plus $5 cost of court for the drug possession charge and an additional $100 plus $5 cost of court for the crack pipe.

He must pay his fine by May 15, or he will spend one month in prison.

Police conducting mobile patrols on Cemetery Road in Belize City found Pitts with the illegal items on Wednesday, February 15.
