Leaders San Pedro Pirates clash with 2nd place Port Layola at San Pedro on Saturday in Premier League of Belize

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The biggest game in the Premier League of Belize weekend features the clash between the leaders San Pedro Pirates and second place Port Layola. The match is set for 7:30 pm on Saturday at the San Pedro Ambergris Stadium.

This will also be the head-on confrontation of the PLB’s top scorers Pirates’ Horace Avila and Port’s Michael Palacio. Both have struck the net five times so far in the national championship.

Also on Saturday, Bandits play under their new name Internacional FC against Champions Altitude at the Michael Ashcroft Stadium in Independence. The match kicks off at 7:30 pm.

Then on Sunday, Wagiya host Benque Viejo United at 4:00 pm at the Carl Ramos Stadium in Dangriga.

In another big match, third place Progresso host fourth place Verdes at the People’s Stadium in Orange Walk Town at 4:00 pm on Sunday as well
