Man accused of stealing over $3,000 worth of items in burglary out on bail

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Twenty-nine-year-old Jason Cawich, is out on bail this week after being accused of stealing over $3,000 worth of items from a woman’s home.

Cawich appeared unrepresented in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, answering to a single charge of burglary.

He pleaded not guilty to the offense and was offered bail in the sum of $3,000 plus one surety of the same, which he met.

Under his bail conditions, Cawich must sign in to a designated police station twice a week and refrain from having any contact with the prosecution’s witnesses.

He is due back in court on March 16.

Cawich allegedly stole a television, amplifier, watch and other jewelry, which have a total value of $3279.00.
