Bench warrant issued for immediate arrest of accused kidnapper Perry Stratford

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The High Court of Belize has issued a bench warrant for the immediate arrest of British Soldier Perry Stratford, after he failed to show up to court to answer to a charge of kidnapping.

Stratford was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 on December 28, 2022 and was due in court on Friday, February 17, 2023, but never did.

The case against Stratford was further adjourned for April 18, 2023.

When the matter was initially heard no plea was taken from Stratford as his High Court bail application was underway, and his attorney Orson Elrington had managed to secure bail for him. The court allowed him to give an interview to police as he was seeking to file a counter-charge against his ex-fiance, who had filed the kidnapping charge against him.
