World Bank mission team observes strengths and challenges of Belize’s economy

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, Prime Minister John Briceño welcomed the World Bank team currently on a visit to Belize.

The Executive Directors of the World Bank are on a fact-finding mission and observing firsthand the strengths and challenges of the country and economy.

“The International Finance Corporation, the private sector branch of the World Bank, visits and is meeting with various private sector representatives,” the Prime Minister noted.

Last week, the World Bank’s country manager Federico Baechli and regional security specialist Keisha Gebre visited various vulnerable communities in Belize City.
