Accused kidnapper Perry Stratford still at large

By Breaking Belize News Staff: British national, 30-year-old Perry Stratford, who is accused of kidnapping, is still at large.

Last week, the High Court of Belize issued a bench warrant for Stratford’s immediate arrest after he failed to show up to his court hearing after meeting bail.

Stratford, a British soldier, was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 on December 28, 2022, and was also allowed to give a statement to police against his ex-fiancee who filed the kidnapping claim, as he was preparing to mount a counter charge.

The case against Stratford was further adjourned for April 18, 2023, while authorities continue to search for him.
