By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Orange Walk Football Academy on Saturday kicked off its second year of training children ages 4-11.
“Today, the Orange Walk Football Academy started its Phase 1 of the training program,” the Orange Walk Football Association (OWFA) said in a social media post.
“We saw the registration of 52 kids joining our program from age 4 up to 11.”
The OWFA said the children showed up at the People’s Stadium with a lot of energy.
“For sure they did have fun and learnt about football,” said the OWFA.
“Thank you to the parents for having their kids be part of our program, to the coaches for volunteering their time to teach these kids about football and to our partners for believing in our program.”
The OWFA said its partners in conducting the OWFA Training Academy are the Football Federation of Belize – FFB, the Orange Walk District Sports Council, and the National Drug Abuse Control Council-MOHW.
