Roaring Creek youth charged for firearms offenses

By Benjamin Flowers: An 18-year-old resident of Roaring Creek Village, Cayo District, has been charged in connection with the discovery of a prohibited gun and bullets.

Police say that Christopher Moro was arrested and charged on Wednesday with possession of a prohibited firearm and possession of prohibited ammunition.

Roaring Creek Police say that around 6:20 p.m. they saw three males running towards the river and one of them threw a black object on the roadside.

Police apprehended Moro and took him back to the area where the item was thrown to discover a .38 revolver that contained four .38 Aguila 357 Mag rounds of ammunition.

No official word has been issued regarding the other two suspects connected to the incident.
