Internacional FC match up against Wagiya on Saturday in Belmopan in the Premier League of Belize

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Seventh place Internacional FC (formerly Bandits) host eighth place Wagiya at 7:30 pm on Saturday night at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan.

Tonight’s encounter in the capital is the battle between the two last place teams in the Premier League of Belize.

So far, Internacional, who changed their name from Bandits to Internacional last week after the Belmopan club rented their franchise to Mexico’s Internacional Fútbol Club, have only earned two points from two draws and four losses while Wagiya have lost all the six games they’ve played in their worst start ever. Wagiya, however, have scored five times to Internacional’s two goals.

The match is expected to be a rather even affair with both teams having a better break at their first win than in any of the previous games. Tonight’s match is the last in the first round of the Closing Championship for both squads.

The other match tonight features PLB leaders San Pedro Pirates hosting Benque Viejo United at 7:00 pm at Ambergris Stadium in San Pedro.
