By Breaking Belize News Staff: Sherrie Gillett, who was convicted of theft just last week, appeared again in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court this week, charged with two counts of possession of utensils used for smoking drugs.
Gillett appeared unrepresented in court on Thursday, where she pleaded guilty but disputed the facts that were read to her.
She told the court that she had just come from rehab and only had one crack pipe on her that broke into two parts when the arresting officer reached into her pocket.
For her early guilty plea and clarification of the events, the Magistrate removed one of the two counts and fined Gillett $300 plus $5 cost of court,
She has until April 28 to pay or she will face three months in prison.
