Author Nelita Sambula Doherty to launch “Es lo Que Es” at Banquitas House of Culture

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Banquitas House of Culture in Orange Walk is hosting the launch of recently published book: ” Es Lo Que Es- It Is What It Is” by Belizean author Nelita M. Sambula Doherty. The launch will be held on March 1, 2023 at 9am.

Doherty was born in Dangriga Town in 1962 and grew up in Orange Walk Town.

She is a mother, writer and community activist.

Nelita began writing at age 8 and has now penned 5 books including “Journey On”, “Aba Wama”, “Garinagu’s Exile”, and “Gregsy’s Adventures in Crooked Tree”.

“We are proud to call her a friend of Banquitas since we have collaborated on many projects giving back to her community. She is truly a selfless woman with an enormous heart. We are proud to join her and celebrate her success,” the Banquitas House of Culture noted.
