By Breaking Belize News Staff: After multiple attempts at securing bail, Ladyville resident Freddy Vasquez was finally successful in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court this week.
Vasquez, who is the prime suspect in a series of robberies in Ladyville last year, appeared in court on Tuesday, where he was offered bail in the sum of $5,000 plus two sureties of $2,500 each, which he managed to meet.
His bail came with the conditions that, apart from keeping a minimum of 100 yards from the complainant and the prosecution’s witnesses, he must sign in at a designated police station twice a week. He was also placed on a 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. curfew. Violating any of his bail conditions could result in his bail being revoked and him being further remanded to the Belize Central Prison.
On October 5, 2022, Vasquez was arraigned on a charge of burglary and denied bail, and remanded to prison.
