Prime Minister welcomes new Taiwan Ambassador

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On February 27, 2023, Taiwan’s Ambassador to Belize, Lily Li-Wen Hsu presented her Letter of Credence to Governor General, Dame Froyla Tzalam.

Ambassador Hsu extended her appreciation for the warm welcome and pledged to work closely and continuously with the Government of Belize and all Belizean partners to promote the mutually beneficial partnership between Taiwan and Belize.

Ambassador Hsu then met with Prime Minister, John Briceño and CEO Narda Garcia.

Ambassador Hsu conveyed the sincere greetings from President Tsai Ing-wen to Prime Minister Briceño and reaffirmed Taiwan’s unwavering support to the Government of Belize in advancing national development.

This year marks the 34th year of diplomatic relations and friendship between Belize and Taiwan.
