Belize’s U-19 Women’s National Team travels to Honduras on Friday to compete in UNCAF U-19 Championship

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Uner-19 Women’s National Team (U-19 BWNT) is travelling to Tegucigalpa, Honduras, on Friday, March 3 to compete in the 2023 Central American Football Union (UNCAF) FIFA Forward Under-19 Championship.

The U-19 UNCAF Championship runs from March 4 to March 11.

“The UNCAF U-19 Championship is a significant tournament for young women’s football in Central America, and Belize is proud to be represented by a strong and determined team of players and staff,” the Football Federation of Belize said in a statement.

The U-19 BWNT is playing in Group A against Honduras, Guatemala, Panama. Group B comprises Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and El Salvador.

Belize’s first match is against Honduras on Sunday, March 5, against Honduras at 3:10 pm. The second match is against Guatemala on Tuesday, March 7, at 11:00am. The final game will be against Panama on Thursday, March 9, at 11:00 am.

The final games are scheduled for Saturday, March 11.

All matches will be played at the Olimpia High Performance Center (CAR CD Olimpia) in Tegucigalpa.

The U-19 BWNT’s head coach is Wayne Francis Casimiro.
