International News: Mexican soldiers kill 5 men in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Mexican soldiers in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico reportedly killed 5 unarmed young men who were driving home in a pickup truck, Reuters report.

On Monday, the Nuevo Laredo Human Rights Committee issued a statement calling on the Government to investigate the shootings.

The Human rights group have filed a complaint with federal prosecutors on behalf of the victims and their relatives.

A 6^th person in the vehicle survived and was hospitalized with gunshot wounds.

Mayor of Nuevo Laredo, Carmen Canturosas said that the army, the Attorney General’s office and the National Human Rights Commission are investigating the case.
