Koop Sheet Metal took third place over defending champions Team PACT who fell to fourth place.
Coast Guard Net 0 were fifth and the Wateva Boyz Travellers finished sixth.
Belize Coast Guard 1.5 completed the first leg in the seventh position.
Fifty-seven teams started the biggest canoe race in Belize at 7:00 am on Friday morning under the Hawkesworth Bridge on the Macal River in San Ignacio, a short distance from where that river joins the Mopan to become the Belize River, for the 25th edition.
Stage 2 heads from Banana Bank to Double Head Cabbage on Saturday, March 4.
The Third Stage takes off at Double Head Cabbage and finishes at Henderson’s Bank in Burrell Boom on Sunday, March 5.
The final Stage 4 comes on Monday, March 6, from Burrell Boom to Belize City finishing by the Belize City Centre.
