By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: U.S. officials say that Border patrol agents found 171 migrants hidden in stash houses in El Paso, Texas, El Paso Times report.

On February 26, 2023, U.S. officials found 50 migrants inside a car garage at a home on Fairbanks Drive.

The migrants were from Guatemala, Mexico and El Salvador,

U.S. officials say that the migrants were processed for deportation.

Two Mexicans were detained for suspected smuggling and will face the courts in Texas.

Authorities also found 25 migrants including an unaccompanied minor at the stash house located near Pershing Drive.

On March 1, 2023, agents found 78 migrants crammed inside a small house in South-Central El Paso.

The migrants were from Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and El Salvador.

On Thursday, March 2, officials found another 18 migrants who had been smuggled into the U.S.

The migrants were from Mexico, Ecuador, Honduras and Guatemala.

For the 2023 fiscal year, U.S. Border Patrol agents in El Paso have found 95 stash houses, resulting in the discovery of more than 1,200 migrants that illegally entered the U.S.
