Outstanding Belizean youths honored at National Youth Awards

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On March 3, 2023, the Department of Youth Services hosted the National Youth Awards.

The ceremony highlighted the perseverance, hard work, contribution, and success of young people in 14 different categories from across the country.

“We envision a society in which all young people are valued, respected, and treated with dignity and we stand for the inclusion of our youths at all levels regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, identity, disability, economic status, and other diverse backgrounds,” the Department of Youth Services noted.

Prime Minister John Briceno and Minister of Youth, Rodwell Ferguson congratulated all awardees.
