Businesses closed midday today in preparation for their parade and celebrations.
Prime Minister John Briceno says that the Mennonite communities have demonstrated the truth of strength in diversity.
“The diversity of ethnicities is national strength and the diversity in sectors and industries is economic strength. We congratulate our Mennonite communities on the 65th Anniversary of their settlement in Belize and we embrace and encourage the robust role they have and continue to play in our national development,” the Prime Minister noted.
