By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The San Ignacio and Santa Elena Town Council is hosting a National Hero River bash at the river banks of the Macal River in San Ignacio and Santa Elena.
The event will go on up until 7pm.
The event features football tournaments, bike race, bouncy house and sale of food and drinks.
Families from the communities are supporting and cooling off in the Macal River.
