San Narciso Agriculture and Trade Show; a booming success

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On March 4, 2023, Minister of State in the Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labour, and Local Government, and Area Representative for Corozal South West, Ramiro Ramirez relaunched the San Narciso Agricultural and Trade Show 2023.

The 2-day event allows farmers to display their crops and livestock.

The fair also offers an opportunity for other businesses and government entities to display their merchandise and provide public services.

The Labour Department also attended the fair and provided services such as the Online Temporary Employment Permit System, Employment Services System, Child Labour Policy, HIV Policy, Labour Laws, and others.

In addition, Ramirez in collaboration with the San Narciso Village Council inaugurated the San Narciso Auditorium.

The auditorium will be utilized for community activities and will be available for other community organizations to host events.

Another enhancement to the auditorium development is that students will now have 24 hour access to wifi within the park area.

Participating in Saturday’s opening ceremony was the Rodwell Ferguson, Minister of Youth, Sports and Transport, Taiwan Ambassador, Lily Li-Wen Hsu, Ambassador of Venezuela, Gerardo Argote, Florencio Marin Sr., Former Deputy Prime Minister, and Thea Garcia-Ramirez, President of the National Women’s Commission.
