International News: U.S. and Mexican authorities search for 4 kidnapped Americans

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, U.S. and Mexican law enforcement authorities say they were working to find 4 U.S. nationals that had been shot by gunmen when they entered Matamoros, Tamaulipas on Friday.

According to Reuters, shortly after the shooting, the Americans were abducted.

The U.S. Embassy in Mexico is seeking the public’s assistance in locating them.

White House Spokesperson, Karine Jean-Pierre said that U.S. and Mexican authorities are working together.

“Our thoughts are with the families of these individuals and we stand ready to provide all appropriate consular assistance. We will continue to coordinate with Mexico and push them to bring those responsible to justice,” Jean-Pierre said.

The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for the return of the 4 Americans and the arrest of those responsible.
