Successful 94th Baron Bliss Regatta held in Belize City

By Breaking Belize News Staff: On March 5th, 2023, the 94th Baron Bliss Regatta took place in front of Smokeez Restaurant in Belize City. Sailors from all over Belize gathered to compete in various race categories such as Optimist, Dory, Bosun, and the Olympic Laser Race.

The regatta was sponsored by the Honorable Anthony Mahler and the Belize Tourism Board (BTB). Mrs. Nicole Solano, CEO of the Ministry of Tourism and Diaspora Relations, presented the donation on behalf of the BTB. The regatta was a great success, with many sailors showcasing their skills and determination on the water.

The Regatta is an annual event that is held in the honor of Ваrоn Неnrу Еdwаrd Еrnеѕt Vісtоr Вlіѕѕ, an Еnglіѕhman bу birth but held а Роrtuguеѕе bаrоnу. The Baron Bliss fund has been used to fund various projects in Belize.

In a social media post, the BTB congratulated all the winners and participants who made the 94th Baron Bliss Regatta such a memorable event. The BTB looks forward to supporting future regattas and marine-related events in Belize.
