International News: Scouts in Mexico use flower display of cans to promote recycling

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Monday, March 6, 2023, scouts from all over Mexico gathered in Mexico City to commemorate 96 years of the Scout Association in Mexico.

According to Reuters, a giant flower was assembled of plastic bottles and cans around the Mexican flag.

The young people then ran and stomped the items, so that the items could be recycled.

The money raised will be donated to government orphanages and to victims of the massive earthquake in Syria and Turkey.
