Social Security Board contributes to Tumul K’in Center of Learning for Maya Day 2023

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Social Security Board (SSB) made a contribution of $1000 to the Tumul K’in Center of Learning as they participate in the upcoming Maya Day 2023.

A Torch Run was held under the theme “Bringing the Flame of Our Ancestors.”

The torch run kicked off the events that will lead up to Maya Day on March 19, 2023, in Blue Creek, Toledo.

The Tumul K’in Center of Learning as a secondary institution aims to preserve the Mayan culture and practices that is passed down to younger generations.
