Twenty-five new cases of COVID-19 reported

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) has reported 25 new cases of COVID-19.

The MOHW’s latest update, which covers the period February 28- March 10, showed that there were 9 active cases and 0 hospitalizations.

The Belize district had 10 of the 25 new cases, while Orange Walk had 5, with the remainder coming from various parts of the country.

“We encourage persons 12 years and older to get vaccinated as soon as you can. If you are eligible to take a booster shot, please do so as well,” the MOHW said. “Regardless of the variant, the same health measures protect us from getting COVID-19.”

With no new deaths to report, the national total for deaths related to the virus remains at 688 since the start of the pandemic.
