Belize Police Department celebrate women police officers

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On March 10, 2023, Belize Police Department (BPD) held an award ceremony for several female police officers and civilian staff in honor of women’s month.

“It was a day to recognize the incredible contributions that women have made in various fields and to acknowledge the ongoing fight for gender equality,” the BPD said.

Outstanding women police officers that continue to make significant impact in their respective fields and have inspired others through their work were recognized.

Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams joined in the celebration and encouraged the female officers to continue with the hard work and dedication within their Precincts and Units.
