Benny’s Belize Hurricanes demolish Belmopan Red Taigaz 105-64 as Belize Elite Basketball League closes 1st round

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Benny’s Belize Hurricanes whipped the Belmopan Red Taigaz 105-64 to close the first round of the Belize Elite Basketball League (BEBL) season in the top spot with a 5-2 record.

The Belmopan Red Taigaz dropped to 3-3.

Tyrie Orosco led the Hurricanes with 27 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Kris Frazier added 19 with 9 boards. Glency Lopez was good for 17 and Jamell Harris for 16 with 16 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks.

Jeremiah Toney was the Red Taigaz top scorer with 23 points. Toney grabbed 12 rebounds off the glass and made 3 assists.
