Ivan Williams is the UDP’s new standard bearer for Stann Creek West

By Benjamin Flowers: Former Labour Commissioner Ivan Williams is the United Democratic Party’s new standard bearer for the Stann Creek West constituency.

Williams was selected by majority vote at a convention today held in Independence village, beating out Alberto Logan and Aldon Taher.

Of a total of 1,267 votes cast, Williams secured a commanding 636. Logan secured 321 votes, while Tasher secured 297.

There were a total of 13 rejected ballots.
