Belize Weather: Fair and dry to start but chance of showers later

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Fair and dry conditions prevail according to the National Meteorological Service. Skies today will be sunny with a few cloudy spells and tonight partly cloudy to cloudy. Little or no rainfall is expected today but isolated thunderstorms may develop over the Maya Mountains this afternoon and isolated showers will develop late tonight over some coastal areas.

High temperatures along the coast reach 88 degrees Fahrenheit; in the interior 96 degrees and in the hills 82 degrees. Tonight’s low temperatures fall to 77 degrees along the coast, 70 degrees inland and 64 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly to southeasterly at 10 to 20 knots. The seas are running moderate to rough and operators of small crafts should exercise caution for locally rough seas.

Tides will be high at 1:09 this afternoon and low at 9:04 this evening. The sun sets at 6:02 this evening and rises 12 hours later at 6:02 Tuesday morning.

Similar weather conditions are expected for Tuesday.
