Kenroy Coot, charged for burglarizing All Saints Primary School, remanded to prison

Posted: Monday, March 13, 2023. 9:50 pm CST.

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Belize City resident 48-year-old Kenroy Coot has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison following a single charge of burglary.

Coot appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court today, accused of breaking into All Saints Primary School over the weekend and stealing a projector valued at $1,000 as well as a black Lasko fan.

The prosecution objected to bail on the grounds that Coot has numerous prior convictions for crimes of dishonesty and that his act deprived children of equipment used in their education.

The Magistrate upheld the prosecution’s objection and remanded Coot to prison until May 12.
