Verdes stumble against tough Benque United in 0-0 draw in Premier League of Belize

Verdes looked nowhere close to the Green Machine that walked over their opponents being unable to break the 0-0 deadlock against Cayo rivals Benque Viejo United at the Norman Broaster Stadium on Sunday in the Premier League of Belize (PLB) Closing Championship.

The draw dropped Verdes from first place to third though tied with the San Pedro Pirates and Port Layola at 18 points each.

For Benque United, the draw is a respectable score but it keeps them stuck in sixth place as they have only moved up from 11 to 12 points. Last week they were tied with Progresso, now they are tied with Champions Altitude.
