Belize Bureau of Standards to host ‘Clean Energy Transition Fair’ in Belmopan tomorrow

By Benjamin Flowers: To mark the 2023 celebration of World Consumer Rights Day (WCRD), the Belize Bureau of Standards (BBS) will be hosting a “Clean Energy Transition Fair” in Belmopan City tomorrow.

The event, being held at the Belmopan Civic Center from 9:00 a.m. to 2;00 p.m., coincides with the WCRD, celebrated annually on March 15, and will be held under the theme “Empowering Consumers Through Clean Energy Transitions”.

The BBS issued a statement today, explaining that the fair is aimed at discussing the need for allowing consumers access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy solutions, as well as highlighting the important role that consumer rights and protection can play.

“The event plans to house booths (both private and public sector entities) which objective will be to promote several clean energy transition solutions (products and/or information/initiatives) and GOB’s chartered roadmap towards sustainable energy for Belize,” the BBS said.

The Bureau hopes that the event will convey information that will promote Belizeans making purchases in the area of sustainable energy solutions that make a sound contribution towards a culture of sustainability.
