Western Dairies buys tomatoes from Valley of Peace farmers to make sauce for their pizzas

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Western Dairies has been buying tomatoes from Valley of Peace farmers to make tomato sauce for their pizzas. On Monday, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise (MAFSE) said they applauded Western Dairies’ support to the local farmers in buying tomatoes for processing.

“A total of 30 buckets of tomatoes were purchased from the farmers,” MAFSE said.

“The tomatoes will be used for the development of Western Dairies’ own homemade tomato sauce that will then be used in their pizzas.”

For a while now, Western Dairies has been making their own pizzas which are sold at their outlets throughout the country. Being producers of many agricultural products such as dairy products, including cheese, they tend to use these in producing their pizzas.
