Belize lose 3-0 to Mexico in last group game in U-19 Norceca Boys Volleyball Championship

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Our Belize young men lost their third game in the U-19 Norceca Boys Volleyball Championship against Mexico in Guatemala City on Wednesday evening. The Mexican team won 3-0 (25-13, 25-14, 25-15)

Belize finished pool play in Group A with a 0-3 record after losing the first two encounters: 3-0 against the formidable USA team on Monday and 3-2 in a drawn out extremely competitive five-set match against Costa Rica on Tuesday. Mexico earned a ticket in the semifinals with a 2-1 record.

Earlier on Wednesday, the United States (3-0) qualified to the semifinals topping Pool A on a 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-17) win over third-place Costa Rica (1-2).

Suriname and Nicaragua in Pool B are playing their first set after 6:00 pm. Guatemala close against Puerto Rico in the 8:00 pm match.

Belize will have one more game on Friday against one of the losing teams from the Quarterfinals between the second and third place teams.
