Man arrested for Yo Creek traffic accident that killed four members of the Tillett family

By Benjamin Flowers: Thirty-five-year-old Byron Tillett has been charged in connection with a road traffic accident that claimed the lives of four people.

Today, police officially charged Tillett with four counts of manslaughter by negligence, four counts of causing death by careless conduct, one count of failed to provide a specimen, and one count of drove motor vehicle without due care and attention.

The incident occurred on Saturday, March 11, in Yo Creek, Orange Walk District, around 8:00 p.m. Tillett’s vehicle collided with a vehicle being driven at the time by 27-year-old Аldаіr Тіllеtt. In the vehicle at the time were Aldair’s wіfе Fеlіѕhа Dе LаFuеntе, аnd thеіr four-year-old dаughtеr, аnd аnоthеr mеmbеr оf thе fаmіlу, 18-year-old Јеаnnіnа Тіllеtt.

The impact was so severe that the four family members ended up trapped inside the vehicle while they were all seriously injured. The family died of their injuries shortly after.
