Over 500 police officers to benefit from affordable healthcare via NHI

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, the Belize Police Department (BPD) and the Social Security Board (SSB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

Through this agreement, over 500 police officers from precincts 1 and 2 will have access to quality and affordable healthcare services via the National Health Insurance program.

The BPD will provide security for staff at all NHI primary care facilities in Belize City.

This signing marks a historic milestone for the BPD and SSB.
