Belize delegation and Vice Minister of Economy of Lithuania discuss digitalization ideas

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, the Belize delegation at the at the World Summit of Information Society (WSIS) 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland met with the Vice-Minister of Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania to discuss different concepts and ideas.

Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Economic Development, Dr. Osmond Martinez, Director General/Registrar of the Financial Services Commission of Belize, Claude Haylock and Project Manager at FSC, Yuri Alpuche discussed digitalization, capacity building among others.

CEO Martinez shared insights on Belize’s Medium Term Development Strategy, particularly focusing on digitalization, climate change, academia, research and development and carbon credits.
