By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On April 5, 2023, leaders from Belize, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Honduras, Bolivia and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will meet virtually to discuss a plan to tackle inflation, Reuters report.
Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador says that cutting trade tariffs is on the agenda for this meeting which would then be followed by an in-person meeting.
Lopez Obrador said that among the measures to be discussed are cutting tariffs, eliminating red tape for imports, exports, with the purpose of ensuring sufficient supply and fighting shortages.
