Ministry of Health and Wellness and Drug Abuse Council engage students for Child Stimulation Month

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: March is being celebrated as Child Stimulation Month under the theme, “We are strong, Learning and Growing”.

Early childhood educators across the country schedule fun and interactive activities for students including trips to the Iguana Hatchery, visits from the Police and fire department, culture day, community workers day among others.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) and National Drug Abuse Control Council-MOHW Cayo district Coordinator, Kamera Requena joined in the activities and conducted health education on negative effects of drugs and the body.

On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, Requena and the team visited Garden City Preschool and Kuxlin Ha Government Preschool in Belmopan.
