Police detain one person in murder investigation of Raheem “Footy” Arnold

By Aaron Humes: Police investigators say they have detained a Fabers’ Road Extension resident in connection with the murder of 29-year-old Raheem Arnold, alias “Footy,” earlier today.

Arnold, of Watermelon Street in the Fabers’ Road Extension area, was at home on his veranda after 11 a.m. when two men, one Hispanic and the other East Indian, entered and began an altercation with him.

Police say one of them took out a firearm and shot him in the back of the head, lower jaw, and abdomen before fleeing. Arnold was taken to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Investigations continue.
