Traffic accident reported outside San Ignacio; multiple injuries reported

By Aaron Humes: Several persons were reported injured following a traffic collision on the George Price Highway-Benque Viejo Road on the edge of San Ignacio Town.

The crash, which involved a truck and car, took place about an hour ago and several persons were ferried to the hospital by ambulance.

Police are on the scene and investigations are underway. Motorists are advised to exercise extreme caution while traveling in this area and generally on the highways.
