By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, officers attached to the Benque Viejo police formation donated seeds for school gardens and agriculture projects at Mount Carmel High school, Mopan Technical High school, and Alvin Young High School in the Benque.
Assistant Superintendent of Police, Marciano Mejia, Cpl. Ciriaco Medina and PC Michelle Coleman from the Community policing office visited the schools and discussed with teachers the importance of educating students on the art and science of agriculture.
The seeds donated were obtained through the Community Policing Headquarters in Belmopan.
The police officers also toured school gardens.
