Minister of Infrastructure commits to join efforts with Education ministry to rebuild St. Matthew’s Government School

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, Minister of Infrastructure, Development and Housing, Julius Espat and Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Technology, Francis Fonseca visited the St. Matthew’s Government School in Cayo.

On Saturday morning, multiple classrooms were destroyed by fire and the community is calling for a show of support to rebuild.

“The St. Matthew’s School is an amazing institution with a strong administration and a team of dedicated teachers. The structure may have burned down, but the heart of the school is still beating,” Espat said.

Minister Espat said that he commits to working with his colleague Minister Fonseca so begin to work immediately on rebuilding.

Espat says that work commenced rebuilding the school today.
