Asian business owner charged for operating gaming house without a license

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Two Asian businessmen are out on bail after being charged for hosting gambling activities at his establishment without being legally authorized to do so.

Today, 37-year-old Yab Jun Cao, owner of MJ’s Night Club, and 35-year-old Yan Feng Luo, were charged with a single count of using premises as a common gaming house without a license.

They both pleaded not guilty. Bail was granted to the duo in the sum of $2,000 each plus one surety of the same.

They are due back in court on May 24.

Allegations against them are that between March 31, 2020, and March 8, 2023, they operated a gaming house without being granted a license to do so by the proper authorities.
