Charles Herbert arraigned on attempted murder charge for allegedly stabbing his brother last year

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Forty-one-year-old Charles Patrick Herbert was arraigned on three indictable offenses today, for an incident where he allegedly stabbed his own brother.

Herbert appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court before Acting Chief Magistrate Tricia Pitts-Anderson, where he was charged with one count of attempted murder, one count of use of deadly means of harm, and one count of dangerous harm against his brother Rueben Herbert.

He was unrepresented and no plea was taken from him, due to the nature of the offenses.

He was denied bail and remanded to the Belize Central Prison until June 21.

On August 21, 2022, Charles reportedly attacked and stabbed his brother, wounding him multiple times to the body before running away.
