Football Federation of Belize President Sergio Chuc invites Rwanda President Paul Kagame to Belize at FIFA Congress in Kigali

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Football Federation of Belize (FFB) President Sergio Chuc invited Rwanda President Paul Kagame to Belize at 73^rd FIFA Congress held in Kigali, Rwanda last Thursday.

The FFB said in a press release that Chuc invited Kagame to Belize on request of Prime Minister John Briceño.

“Kagame accepted and assured that he will be coming to Belize later this year,” the FFB statement said.

Kagame was to come to Belize last September 14-15, but his visit was postponed “due to developing circumstances”, said a short press release from the Government of Belize Press Office on August 29. At the time, the Government said a new date would be announced. when details are finalized.”

President Kagame was to have been conferred the Order of Belize and was expected to address the House of Representatives and the Senate at a joint special sitting.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino was reelected by acclamation in Kigali at the first FIFA Congress held on African soil.
